Edith Mae Fahrenkamp, 88, of Brenham, widow of Fritz Fahrenkamp Jr, died March 14, 2010 at Kruse Village.
Edith was born on October 15, 1921 to Albert and Edna "Heckman" Tolbert. Edith was married to Fritz Fahrenkamp Jr. on December 30, 1945 in Harrisburg, Pa. She was a member of Brenham Presbyterian Church, Volunteer Service of Kruse Memorial Village, member of American Legion VFW Auxiliary. Edith and Fritz loved to dance and they belonged to a number of dance clubs. She volunteered for a number of organizations in Brenham. She and her husband started the Young at Heart Group at the Brenham Presbyterian Church.
Edith is survived by daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Kent Holden of Canton Ga., grandson Alexander Kent Holden in the U.S. Navy and wife Amber, sister-in-law Clara Boenker of Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fritz Fahrenkamp, 3 Brothers and 5 sisters.
Graveside services for Edith Fahrenkamp will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Reverend Henry Suche Jr. officiating.
Visitation with the family and friends will be Monday from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorial contribution's may be directed to Brenham Chapter of Brazos Valley Hospice.
