Guestbook for Richard C. Macaulay Showing 1 - 5 of 43 entries.

The first time I was introduced to Dick Macaulay was about 30 years ago. I just knew him as my room-mates Dad. Little did I know that just two years later this person would play a key role in shaping my life. I will alway remember the endless hours Dick spent to teach me equipment sales. He was not just teaching me how to sell. He taught me how to live my life. He said that all answers to all problems are found in the Bible. He said that work is nothing but a game (not real life). At the end of the day, you pick up your marbles and go home. Real life is all about family and friends. He encouraged me to dream big. I am who I am today because of the influence of Dick Macaulay and his family. I am proud and honored to of known him.

A little over 25 years ago I responded to an ad in the paper for employment. At that time I had no way of knowing the profound effect Dick Macaulay would have on my life. I hired on as inside salesman for one of his many business endeavors. I was 26 years old with a beautiful loving wife and a newborn son but without any knowledge of the water business. Yet R.C Macaulay was willing to take me under his wing and provide me and many others with an opportunity to learn. There were peaks and valleys, victories and losses but Dick was always there to “pull you up by the boots straps”. He had an incredible appetite for seeing young people succeed. He had many sayings. I can recall him saying, Brett “the Company produces leaders”. No truer words were spoken. There are many success stories to his credit.

With a loan from my mother, the on-the-job-training experience gained from working for Dick and countless prayers I started my own business a little over 14 years ago. Today that business is a thriving successful Company.

I can honestly say that I would not be where I am today had it not been for the opportunity afforded by the generosity of Dick Macaulay. For that opportunity I will be forever grateful and shall never forget the man, the “Old” man Mr. R.C. Macaulay.

Thank God for putting him in my life.

I will miss him.

When I would go visit the Macaulays, Richard would always head to the kitchen to bring something out to serve me. I've come to realize that my soul was also being fed as I sat and listened to Richard share how great God is and those promises that are ours in the Lord.

Someone wrote...as diamonds are made by pressure and pearls formed by irritation, so greatness is forged by adversity. A man of great character, Richard will be deeply missed. I love you Mr. Macaulay.

Dearest Franny and Family, We are so sorry to hear of your loss, but we know Richrd has been getting ready for this as long as we have known him. He walked with his Lord daily. Richard had a big influence on us in our early walk and we consider him a mentor and Brother. Richsard and Brother Nick spent many an hour on Saturday mornings helping Bill to come to know and understand the "Word". May God bless you with HIS comfort. Most Sincerely, Lavonne and Bill Morrow
