I have fond memories of Melvin. He was a friend of my parents, Oliver & Eloise Whitener, and a man of integrity. He was also good friends with Shorty and Laura Niemeyer, my relatives. I am sorry for your loss.

Ron, Elwood, and Family - I am so sorry for your loss of Melvin. Sorry I could not make the funeral. I still remember as a teen-ager walking past Green Grain on my way home. Melvin would always say hello and have a few words with me.

We are so sorry for your loss. Melvin well be remembered for many things in his life but for us it will be for his many years of faithful service to his Evening Lions Club. We can't imagine how many lives were made better because of his efforts. Thank you for sharing him with us for so long.
